Job Characteristics: Designs and develops IT architecture (integrated process, applications, data and technology) solutions to business problems in alignment with the enterprise architecture direction and standards. Ensure that standard architecture decisions are implemented consistently across business and IT in order to support the business and IT strategy. This includes researching, analyzing, designing, proposing, and delivering IT architecture solutions that are appropriate for the business and IT strategies in one or more domains. Takes responsibility for technical planning, architecture development and modification of specifications. Develops specifications for new products/services, applications and service offerings. Assesses the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent technologies. Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions. Works independently; receives minimal guidance. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services. Interprets internal or external business issues and recommends best practices. Is recognized as an expert in own area within the organization. Specializations within this family include (but are not limited to): Enterprise, Infrastructure, Mobile, Web, Data, Applications.
Education/Work Experience: Degree in technical area and ten plus years of overall technology experience and significant work experience including project management.
Independence Level/Reports to: Recognized master in professional discipline typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. Responsibilities typically include: establishing operational plans for job area. Developing and implementing new products, processes, standards or operational plans that will have impact on the achievement of functional results. Requires communication with leadership. Normally Reports to Sr. leader or Director.
