Supervise and execute DC side works including module stringing, DC cable laying, DCDB installation, polarity checks, and string continuity.
Supervise AC side works including inverter output cabling, ACDB installation, LT panel works, and interconnections up to transformer.
Ensure all electrical works are executed as per approved drawings, SLDs, GA layouts, and technical specifications.
Oversee installation of DCDBs, string combiners, isolators, fuses, and SPD systems.
Ensure correct polarity, cable routing, dressing, and tagging of DC cables.
Conduct and record DC tests such as string voltage, insulation resistance (IR), and continuity checks.
Supervise installation of ACDB panels, LT panels, breakers (MCB/MCCB/ACB), protection relays, and meters.
Monitor AC cable laying, glanding, termination, ferruling, and torque tightening.
Support pre-commissioning and functional testing of AC systems.
Coordinate with inverter vendors/OEM teams for installation, testing, and commissioning support.
Ensure proper DC–AC interface between modules, inverters, ACDBs, and transformers.
Support inverter energization and troubleshooting activities.
Verify materials, panels, and cables comply with approved makes, ratings, IEC/IS standards, and project specifications.
Ensure earthing continuity, SPD installation, labeling, and safety clearances are properly maintained.
Identify non-conformances and ensure corrective actions before handover.
Enforce electrical safety procedures, including LOTO, PPE usage, and safe work practices.
Participate in toolbox talks, safety inspections, and risk assessments.
Ensure compliance with project HSE guidelines and statutory electrical safety norms.
Monitor daily progress of AC-DC electrical activities and update the senior engineer / construction manager.
Prepare Daily Progress Reports (DPRs) and assist in weekly/monthly reporting.
Highlight site constraints, material issues, or execution risks affecting timelines.
Monitor receipt, storage, and usage of DC cables, AC cables, DCDBs, ACDBs, panels, glands, lugs, and accessories.
Ensure proper storage and protection of electrical materials to avoid damage or losses.
Support material reconciliation and quantity tracking.
Maintain installation checklists, test reports, inspection records, and punch-list closure.
Assist in preparation of as-built drawings and commissioning dossiers.
Support handover of AC-DC systems to commissioning and O&M teams.
Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
5–8 years of hands-on field experience in AC-DC electrical works, preferably in utility-scale solar projects.
Practical knowledge of solar plant electrical systems and inverter-based power plants.
