USD Asset Authoring & Scene Structuring
* Convert CAD/PLM assets into OpenUSD with proper materials, metadata, variants, and hierarchical scene structures.
* Maintain strict USD authoring standards including composition layers, naming conventions, and asset integrity checks.
* Implement CI/CD pipelines to validate USD assets, materials, physics settings, and Omniverse extensions.
3D Optimization for Real-Time Performance
* Optimize large-scale factory scenes through geometry decimation, LODs, texture atlasing, and draw call reduction.
* Profile and tune GPU utilization, RTX rendering, and scene complexity for multi-user real time performance.
* Ensure visual, functional, and physics accuracy across complex 3D environments.
Omniverse Extension & Tool Development
* Develop Omniverse Kit extensions in Python/C++ for simulation controls, UI tools, parameter editing, analytics overlays, and automation workflows.
* Build scalable tools for designers and engineers to improve asset ingestion, setup, review, and simulation configuration workflows.
Integration of Manufacturing Data
* Integrate BOM, routing, process parameters, cycle times, and other manufacturing datasets within OpenUSD scenes.
* Configure physics, kinematics, part flow, conveyor logic, buffers, and station behaviors to enable realistic bottleneck, throughput, and cycle time analysis.
Collaboration & Real-Time Streaming
* Enable multi-user collaboration, shared sessions, and cloud or on premise streaming using Omniverse Nucleus and related services.
* Support scenario reviews, interactive walkthroughs, and real time design evaluations across cross functional engineering teams.
KPI Visualization & Analytics
* Create in-scene visualization of operational KPIs such as throughput, cycle time, utilization, WIP, and OEE.
* Enable export of analytics to external dashboards and enterprise reporting tools.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Collaborate with platform engineers, integration teams, manufacturing SMEs, and program managers to align with Factory of the Future (FoM) principles and simulation requirements.
* Provide technical input on 3D asset standards, workflows, performance tuning, and best practices.
* Strong experience with CAD → OpenUSD conversion, materials, metadata management, and scene structuring.
* Hands-on expertise with NVIDIA Omniverse, including Kit workflows, Nucleus, and RTX rendering.
* Proficiency in Python and/or C++ for Omniverse extension development.
* Deep knowledge of real-time rendering, 3D optimization techniques, physics simulation, and kinematic modeling.
* Experience with CAD/PLM tools (e.g., CATIA, Creo, NX, SolidWorks) and manufacturing datasets (BOM, routing, cycle times).
* Familiarity with digital twin workflows, manufacturing operations, and industrial process modeling.
* Ability to work in collaborative, multi-disciplinary engineering environments and deliver high quality 3D assets at scale.
We are seeking a highly skilled 3D Designer/Developer with expertise in NVIDIA Omniverse, OpenUSD, and real time 3D content creation for factory-scale digital twins. The ideal candidate will convert complex CAD/PLM assets into optimized OpenUSD scenes, build custom Omniverse extensions, and enable high performance, analytics driven 3D environments aligned with advanced manufacturing and Factory of the Future principles
