About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and technically knowledgeable Account Manager – Mechanical to manage client relationships, support project execution, and drive business growth within the mechanical engineering sector. This role involves coordinating with clients and internal teams, ensuring successful project delivery, and identifying opportunities to expand business within industrial and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors.
Act as the primary point of contact for assigned mechanical engineering accounts.
Understand client requirements and provide suitable technical and commercial solutions.
Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and long-term business relationships.
Business Development & Sales Support
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within mechanical and industrial sectors.
Support tendering, proposal preparation, and contract negotiations.
Drive account growth through upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer demands.
Project Coordination & Technical Support
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and operations teams for project execution.
Monitor project timelines, deliverables, and client expectations.
Ensure smooth communication between clients and technical teams.
Support resolution of technical and operational issues during project execution.
Commercial & Contract Management
Manage quotations, contracts, budgets, and commercial documentation.
Support invoicing, payment tracking, and account reconciliation.
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and project scope.
Assist in managing claims, variations, and commercial risks.
Reporting & Documentation
Prepare account performance reports and project status updates.
Maintain accurate records of contracts, communications, and project activities.
Track key account metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
Ensure proper documentation and reporting standards are maintained.
Stakeholder Coordination
Collaborate with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal departments.
Participate in client meetings, project reviews, and business discussions.
Represent the organization professionally during presentations and negotiations.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
5–8 years of experience in account management, business development, or project coordination within the mechanical or industrial sector.
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, industrial projects, and client management.
Experience working in infrastructure, industrial, or energy-related projects is preferred.
