🚀 Strategic Purchasing Manager - Avionics Electronics & Manufacturing
Entity: Airbus Commercial Aircraft – PEAD (Procurement Equipment, Systems and Services)

Join our Procurement Equipment, Systems and Services (PE) team—a group of 200 people shaping our supplier landscape to bring Airbus customers the most innovative and competitive Products and Services. This is your chance to manage a critical, flyable portfolio within the Avionics Electronics & Manufacturing commodity.
PEAD is a procurement organisation supporting Airbus’ internal avionics equipment & simulation Supplier, Airbus Avionics – 1YY (previously EYY). 1YY is a human-sized entity (500 FTE) and the reference chamber for Electronics & Embedded Software. 1YY design, develop, manufacture, and support a wide panel of strategic avionics products (Flight Control Computers, Air Traffic Systems) across all Airbus Programs (including A400M & ATR).

Key Responsibilities & Strategic Impact :Â
As the Purchasing Manager, your mandate is to secure the supply chain and drive cost competitiveness, .
1. Portfolio Management & Competitiveness
Manage a product and suppliers’ portfolio, leading all dedicated procurement activities (sourcing, day-to-day relations, business reviews, performance management).
Coordinate Product Development: Lead the coordination of New Product Introduction (NPI) and development follow-up.
Achieve Excellence: Work within the Multi-Functional Team (MFT) to deliver the expected competitiveness and supply chain performance.
Drive Cost Reduction: Contribute to and lead Cost Reduction Projects that implement cost optimization programs.
Lead the Sourcing Cycle: Coordinate and/or lead Requests For Proposal (RFP) / Calls For Tender and the subsequent selection reports preparation and validation by the MFT.
2. Contract, Risk & Innovation
Contract Negotiation: Lead multi-year contract negotiations and amendments, ensuring compliance with the latest Airbus contractual standards and policies.
Protect the Business: Proactively manage supplier and product risks (financial, strategy, monopoly, obsolescence) and define robust mitigation actions.
Champion Ethics: Maintain professional and trusting supplier relationships with major electronics industry players, strictly upholding Company ethics and compliance standards in all dealings.

Strategic Agreements: Contractual agreements are secured, up-to-date, and compliant with Procurement Policies.
Optimized Costs: Effective negotiation and implementation of cost optimization programs.
Aligned Relationships: Efficient and trusting relationships built with all key stakeholders (Suppliers, Design Offices, Quality, Contracts, Legal, Finance).
Controlled Risk: Proactive management of supplier risks and issues, and a supplier rating that reflects actual performance.

Hard Skills (Required Experience)
Education: 5-year degree level in Engineering or Business School.
Procurement: Experience in Supplier Relationship Management and Procurement, with a clear knowledge of associated processes and tools.
Commercial Acumen: Demonstrated experience in contract negotiation and management.
Stakeholder Management: Ability to negotiate with and manage internal and/or external stakeholders.
Language Skills: Negotiation-level English is mandatory, and a working knowledge of French is required.
Tools: Proficient in MS Office / Google Suite and possess basic SAP skills.
