Wood is currently sourcing for an Offshore Electrical Technician to join our team in Equatorial Guinea.
The Electrical Technician is responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, and fault‑finding of electrical systems onboard an FPSO vessel , ensuring compliance with HS&E standards, Permit to Work (PTW) requirements, and company and regulatory procedures. The role covers planned and unplanned maintenance, electrical isolations, inspections, and major overhauls of LV and HV equipment, including 6.6 kV systems.
The Electrical Technician also supports Process Safety Management (PSM) activities, maintains accurate maintenance records, ensures availability of critical spares, and provides on‑the‑job training to less experienced technicians and trainees.
Previous experience of working on an FPSO and strong electrical safety awareness are essential.
Location: offshore Equatorial Guinea, West Africa
Rotation \ Work Pattern: 5 weeks on \ 5 weeks off, 7-day week \ 12-hour day
