Vice President–Information Security.Egypt- Information Security.Risk Management

We are searching for an experienced and visionary leader to take on the role of Vice President–Information Security. This position is pivotal in driving MashreqBank Egypt's information security and risk management initiatives. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing enterprise-level projects and fostering strong relationships with senior and executive management. With a people-first philosophy, they will lead a team to create a culture of trust and growth, while their collaborative mindset will bridge gaps across various functions, ensuring a cohesive and effective security strategy.
Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Information Security and Risk Management team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
• Develop and implement robust information security strategies, policies, and procedures to safeguard the organization's data and systems.
• Stay abreast of emerging cyber threats and trends, ensuring the organization's security posture is resilient and adaptable.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align security initiatives with business objectives, ensuring a seamless and integrated approach.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior management, providing strategic advice and guidance on information security matters.
• Oversee the incident response process, ensuring prompt and effective handling of security incidents and breaches.
• Conduct regular security audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
• Ensure compliance with international standards and regulations, such as PCI DSS, SWIFT CSP, and GDPR.
• Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of learning and professional growth within the Information Security department.

• A minimum of 14 years of experience in information security, with a proven track record in a similar role or market.
• Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team towards shared goals.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset and the ability to build effective relationships across the organization.
• In-depth knowledge of information security domains, including governance, policy, procedures, incident response, and security management.
• Sound understanding of IT infrastructure, systems, databases, and processes, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business impact.
• Familiarity with the banking industry and international compliance standards, including PCI DSS, SWIFT CSP, and GDPR.
• Professional security certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CEH, SANS, PCI-QSA, CIPP/E, or CIPM are highly desirable.
• Excellent decision-making and prioritization skills, with the ability to adapt and respond to rapidly evolving cyber threats.
• Analytical prowess, with the ability to identify trends, assess risks, and develop effective security strategies.
• A commitment to ethical practices and confidentiality, upholding the highest standards of integrity.
