Job Responsibilities :
Oversee daily sorting operations to ensure packages are correctly routed, labelled, and staged for dispatch.
Monitor production and quality metrics, including throughput, mis-sort rates, scanning accuracy, and error reduction.
Lead and coach team members (sorters, loaders, and/or yard staff), including shift scheduling, task assignment, and performance feedback.
Ensure compliance with safety policies (forklift safety rules, housekeeping, and hazard reporting).
Coordinate with dispatch/loading teams to ensure correct staging by route and priority.
Troubleshoot process issues, including workflow bottlenecks, equipment downtime, labelling errors, and staffing gaps.
Maintain accurate records and logs related to productivity, attendance, incidents, and operational exceptions.
Communicate escalation items to management, including chronic delays, equipment failures, or repeated quality issues.
Support training and SOP adherence for scanning, sorting, rework, and claim/discrepancy processes.
Participate in continuous improvement (5S, error-proofing, process standardization).
Job Qualifications :
Prior supervisory or lead experience 2+ years in a warehouse, distribution, shipping, or sorting environment.
Working knowledge of shipping/fulfilment workflows (receiving, sortation, staging, loading, tracking/scanning).
Ability to read and interpret work instructions, labels, and route/staging guides.
Strong understanding of safety standards and safe work practices in a distribution environment.
Proficiency with basic systems/tools (e.g., scanning devices, handheld computers, WMS concepts).
Ability to lift up to 50 KG and perform physical work as needed during peak periods.
Strong communication skills and ability to lead a team on the floor.
