Software Development Senior Director

Responsibilities:

Technology Strategy Execution

1. Execute the company’s technology strategy in alignment with business goals and priorities.
   
2. Translate strategic objectives into actionable engineering roadmaps and delivery plans.
   
3. Partner with senior leadership to support business growth through scalable technology solutions.
   

Engineering Delivery & Operations

1. Lead and manage the end-to-end software development lifecycle (planning, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance).
   
2. Ensure timely, high-quality delivery of products and platforms.
   
3. Collaborate on defining and own the monitoring of tech department OKRs, KPIs, OLAs, and delivery standards.
   
4. Drive continuous improvement in development processes across all functions (Architecture, Development, QA, DevOps, Scrum/Delivery, Data Analytics & BI).
   

Technical Excellence

1. Establish and maintain architectural integrity and design best practices, ensuring system scalability, application/platform/infrastructure efficiency, and compliance with security regulations and data protection standards.
   
2. Establish and maintain best practices and high standards for code quality, technical debt management, documentation, and DevOps/DevSecOps practices.
   

Innovation & Technology Advancement

1. Evaluate and implement emerging technologies, tools, and platforms.
   
2. Lead organizational and digital transformation efforts within the tech department, focusing on modernization and technical capabilities.
   
3. Establish and maintain a product-first, API-first, and AI-first approach to software development.
   

Leadership & Team Development

1. Lead, mentor, and develop engineering managers and teams.
   
2. Build a high-performance culture focused on growth, agility, and excellence.
   
3. Promote innovation, agility, and continuous learning within the team.
   
4. Support talent development, succession planning, and retention strategies.
   

Job Specifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
   
2. Master’s degree is a plus.
   
3. 20+ years of experience in software engineering / technology roles.
   
4. Proven experience leading large engineering teams.
   
5. Strong experience in architecture, DevOps, and system design.
   
6. Experience in scaling systems and managing high-availability platforms.
   
7. Strong expertise in FinTech is a must.
   
8. Proven track record in leading digital, organizational, and AI transformation initiatives.
   
9. A “getting things done” and a strong problem-solving mindset is a must.
