Overview Of The Role:


  • The Customer Services Assistant - Smaland is responsible for delivering exemplary customer service in the play facility of Smaland at IKEA Egypt. The role requires managing entry policies, adhering to child care standard operating procedures (SOPs), and ensuring a friendly and professional service. This position plays a crucial part in maintaining the safety and entertainment of children while also engaging with parents and guardians. As an integral part of the Customer Relations team, the role contributes to enhancing overall customer satisfaction and upholding IKEA's brand standards.


What You Will Do:


Customer Interaction


  • Greet and welcome mothers/guardians with their children on arrival at Smaland.
  • Explain the Smaland admission policy in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Entertain children with activities based on the Commercial Calendar.
  • Ensure child safety is prioritized while in Smaland.
  • Make announcements and page parents if there is any issue with the children in the playroom area.
  • Handle routine customer complaints promptly and courteously.
  • Provide a safe environment for children within the area.
  • Rotate to work at the Information desk to greet customers and address inquiries.


Operational Duties


  • Adhere to all system and emergency procedures as per policy.
  • Brief the Duty Manager on complaints requiring management assistance.
  • Ensure all emergency procedures are followed.
  • Utilize ICSS, Brand Capital, Call Center Reports, CRM Reports, Duty Manager Report, HUTI Program, and Safety Checklists.
  • Review SOP and maintain high standards as per the brand requirements.
