Job description

The Senior QA/QC Civil Engineer plays a vital role in ensuring the highest quality standards in construction projects. This position requires a deep understanding of civil engineering principles, quality assurance processes, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing quality control procedures, conducting inspections, and ensuring that all construction activities meet the required specifications and standards. This role is critical in maintaining the integrity and safety of construction projects, making it essential for the successful delivery of high-quality infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement quality assurance and quality control procedures for construction projects.
  2. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
  3. Collaborate with project managers and engineers to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  4. Prepare and maintain quality documentation, including inspection reports and compliance records.
  5. Train and mentor junior QA/QC staff on best practices and quality standards.
  6. Evaluate and select subcontractors and suppliers based on their quality performance.
  7. Participate in project meetings to provide updates on quality issues and resolutions.
  8. Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to safety regulations and quality standards.
  9. Review and approve material submittals and shop drawings for compliance with project requirements.
  10. Assist in the preparation of project closeout documentation related to quality assurance.
