We have an opportunity for a Senior Finance Analyst position within our Honeywell Building Automation team based in Cairo, Egypt.
This position will support commercial finance and financial analysis and planning activities across the North Africa portfolio of the Building Solutions business. The role will partner and support the Regional Finance Director in driving financial performance, managing and leading key business processes including the annual operating plan (AOP), strategic plan (STRAP), monthly operating review (MOR) and financial forecasts.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities:
Uses financial and operational data to analyze trends and financial impact to provide meaningful operational performance insight that helps the business execute on operational commitments and meet financial targets.
• Analyses and interprets business profitability and leading indicators such as margin analysis and country specific growth. Leads the AOP planning process for a region and the monthly financial review.
• Performs ad-hoc analysis to determine business trends and provide decision support financial information. Analyses the impact of moving into new areas of business
• Reviews working capital and drives cash flow improvement initiatives for the region. Directs analysis of receivables, payables, POs and vendor balances
• Performs additional adhoc analysis as required to drive C2C efficiency. Interacts with WC lead on cash calls and setting WC targets for the region
• Reviews General accounting activities. Ensures books are closed in compliance with accounting rules and policies. Ensures a robust internal controls environment
• Demonstrates a high degree of business acumen and can quickly grasp the Projects business model and key business drivers to help drive the stabilization and growth agenda of the Projects business.
• Works closely with the country leadership, sales, project managers and supply chain team to drive regional revenue, ensuring robust process and KPI's including backlog tracking.
• Provides input to the business to evaluate investments, drive orders negotiation (bid/ no-bid) and payment terms to maximize operating income and cash flow.
• Evaluates growth opportunity with the business leadership with country and line of business specific strategies.
• Plays the role of financial adviser and business advocate whilst maintaining compliance to financial controls, policies and principles.
Qualifications
You must have:
  • Professionally qualified with 7 -10+ years of experience including post qualification experience
  • Excellent analytical skills - experience with leading finance in a Project business preferred.
  • Comfortable working in a high pressure environment and to tight deadlines
  • Strong work ethic with hands on approach
  • Proven organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to relate to people at all levels of the organization
