As Senior Commissioning Electrical Engineer you will be responsible for providing technical input, support and guidance on a nuclear project, where Worley acts as the Technical Consultant.


Duties and responsibilities: 


  • Support the review and evaluation of as-built documentation and engineering studies documentation related to electrical systems
  • Participates in the review and execution of methodologies, commissioning procedures and schedules for electrical systems, ensuring readiness for operational handover.
  • Supports the development, review and validation of commissioning, operating and maintenance procedures.
  • Attends project meetings on Commissioning issues, participates in the work of relevant commissioning working groups for the Customer.
  • Coordinates with commissioning and engineering teams to resolve technical issues arising during system start-up and performance testing.
  • Verifies that system functionality, safety interlocks, and operational parameters meet design intent and regulatory requirements.
  • Provides engineering support during initial operation phases, including troubleshooting and optimization of electrical systems.
  • Ensures lessons learned during commissioning and early operation are documented.
  • Provide support to the Customer to ensure smooth transition from construction to operational stage.
  • Reviews and validates commissioning records, test reports, and system acceptance documentation for completeness and compliance.
  • Review training materials and training records specific to electrical systems design, operation, and engineering principles.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s degree beneficial) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Strong technical skills; 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering on large scale projects.
  • Experience in commissioning nuclear power plants is required.
  • Knowledge of European and Russian nuclear electrical codes is a plus.
  • Knowledge in the following Electrical engineering areas: Power generation plants, Electrical substations, Electrical systems automation and Relay protections, Electrical power supply and electrical equipment, Installation and Testing of electrical equipment, Commissioning of electrical equipment of NPP.

  • Ability to analyze, communicate, influence and persuade.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are essential; understanding of Russian and/or Arabic is a plus.
  • Proactive team player, proven to be effective in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Organized and disciplined.
