We are seeking a Senior Accountant with deep expertise in payroll processing, tax compliance, and accounting rules to join our consulting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end payroll functions for multiple clients, ensuring compliance with local and international financial regulations, and providing expert advice on financial operations and optimization.

  • Review and approve payroll entries, adjustments, and reconciliation.

  • Handle year-end payroll reporting and tax submissions
  • Apply accounting rules and standards (GAAP/IFRS/local standards) to all payroll-related financial transactions.
  • Prepare and review journal entries related to payroll, benefits, accruals, and taxes.
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings related to payroll accounts.
  • Support the preparation of financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide accounting and payroll advisory services to clients across various industries.
  • Conduct financial analysis, identify areas for improvement, and recommend process optimizations.
  • Design payroll workflows and documentation for new clients onboarding.
  • Train junior accountants and client teams on payroll best practices and compliance updates.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards, tax laws, and payroll regulations.
  • Develop and enforce internal controls over payroll and financial reporting.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems and ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Zoho).
  • In-depth understanding of accounting principles, payroll taxation, and labour regulations.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in a consulting firm or BPO/shared service environment.
  • Familiarity with multi-country payroll processing and tax implications.
  • Experience implementing payroll systems or supporting digital transformation in finance.
