Nalco, an Ecolab Company, is seeking a Procurement Representative – Direct Materials (Egypt & North Africa) to join the Supply Chain function. This role is responsible for leading procurement operations and strategic sourcing initiatives for direct materials, including raw materials, packaging, and toll/contract manufacturing.



The position is accountable for delivering cost savings and working capital improvements, while ensuring supply continuity across the region. The role also supports key business initiatives and works closely with regional and global stakeholders to deploy sourcing strategies locally.

What will you do



  • Lead compliance, safety, and ethical procurement initiatives
  • Manage and negotiate direct materials (raw materials, packaging, toll/contract manufacturing) across Egypt and North Africa
  • Own an annual spend of approximately $15M and deliver targeted cost savings
  • Drive working capital improvements through payment terms, inventory optimization, and collaboration with supply planning
  • Act as a subject matter expert for e-auctions and sourcing tools, ensuring best practices
  • Support tactical volumes and key business initiatives by securing supply, optimizing costs, and managing risks
  • Collaborate with Global Category Leads to implement sourcing strategies locally
  • Manage supplier performance, ensuring quality, service, and responsiveness
  • Identify and qualify alternative suppliers/materials to enhance supply resilience
  • Own end-to-end contracting processes and ensure proper documentation
  • Manage financial reporting related to savings, risks, and working capital
  • Support quality improvements through supplier collaboration and corrective actions
  • Build and execute sourcing and productivity initiatives aligned with business targets
  • Collaborate with regional and global teams to align on sourcing priorities and market insights


Minimum Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • 4–5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes and supplier management
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Fluency in English
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/procurement systems


Preferred Qualifications



  • Degree in Chemistry or Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial)
  • Experience in FMCG or chemical industry
  • Knowledge of total cost / total delivered cost sourcing methodologies
  • Experience working in regional or global environments
  • French language is an advantage
