Nexus Analytica is seeking a Power Systems Consultant to support the delivery of consulting assignments related to power system studies, grid integration, grid compliance, transmission and distribution networks, renewable energy connection studies, and technical advisory for utilities and energy-sector stakeholders.
This role combines technical analysis, consulting, modelling, reporting, and project coordination responsibilities. The selected candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver high-quality studies and advisory support across power system planning, simulation, compliance, and network performance assessment.
Support the delivery of consulting projects related to power systems, grid integration, and network planning.
Conduct power system studies including load flow, short-circuit, power quality, voltage stability, and dynamic analysis.
Support grid compliance and interconnection studies for solar PV, wind, BESS, and other distributed energy resources.
Develop and review simulation models using industry-standard software tools.
Assist in transmission and distribution system assessment, including MV and LV network studies.
Contribute to grid code review, compliance assessment, and technical documentation.
Prepare reports, presentations, technical notes, and client deliverables.
Coordinate with utilities, regulators, developers, and project stakeholders on technical matters.
Support project planning, data collection, validation, and internal coordination across assignments.
Participate in workshops, meetings, proposal writing, and business development activities.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Energy Systems, or a related field.
3 to 7 years of relevant experience in power systems consulting, grid studies, utility advisory, or power system analysis.
Good understanding of transmission and distribution systems, grid integration, and network performance analysis.
Experience with one or more types of studies such as load flow, short-circuit, harmonics, flicker, voltage unbalance, protection coordination, or dynamic simulation.
Strong analytical, report-writing, and presentation skills.
Strong written and spoken English.
Arabic is an advantage.
Master's degree in a relevant field.
Experience with renewable energy grid integration and grid compliance studies.
Familiarity with grid codes, utility requirements, and interconnection standards.
Hands-on experience with tools such as PSS/E, PowerFactory, ETAP, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar.
Experience working on projects in Egypt, MENA, or Africa is an advantage.
