Discover the Role


Support the payroll teams in the provision of a high quality client service, producing service deliverables for a portfolio of clients. This will include the preparation of data, Payroll processing and acting as the day-to-day client contact for the provision of those services, to meet stakeholders’ and client expectations.


Key Responsibilities


Operations


  • Responsible for handling Payroll operations and assigned deliverables to clients in accordance with internal and external deadlines
  • Set up and maintain computerized payroll databases
  • Create and maintain relevant records
  • Inputting information into the payroll system
  • Review, test and reconcile the work and data received from clients/ third parties
  • Assist with statutory fillings and reporting
  • Ensure appropriate controls, policies, processes and procedures are adhered to
  • Escalate client/work issues to Manager
  • Answer questions in a timely manner
  • Perform any other reasonable assignment requested by management

Client service


  • Support clients with service delivery matters
  • Attend client meetings, as required
  • Prepare client work in accordance with procedures
  • Work with clients to ensure required data is received in good time
  • Prepare and submit approved returns, submissions, accounts, reports etc. as applicable

Technical Expertise


  • Liaise with tax and Social Insurance authorities as needed
  • Use specific software programs and maintain databases as required
  • Develop technical knowledge through reading and attendance at appropriate (internal and external) training courses, seminars, etc.

Key Requirements


  • Degree holder in Accountancy
  • Understand basic payroll processing, deductions and regulatory submissions
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
  • Working experience with payroll/HR software is an advantage
  • Strong attention to detail, coordination and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated, hardworking, a strong sense of responsibility and positive working attitude.
  • Good command of written and spoken English
