Overview This role is responsible for leading the weekly Make planning cycle, creating and releasing the Material Plan for particular categories. MRP plan will also need to be issued to the Bern Make planning organisation on a agreed frequency. Working with the Bern team, the individual will escalate any Make supply issue and support resolution, monitoring and managing supply exceptions Also accountable for completing the Monthly Materials Plan for 24-month rolling horizon for SKUs using the production plan and Suppliers’ feedback as key inputs to ensure supply. Utilises escalation path to MRP Planning Lead & Procurement for any material issue that may become a potential risk. This role will be recruited for GCC and as such there will be a level of initial ambiguity in activity as the processes are adopted across during transition. It is expected that the role will therefore require an initial flexibility of approach as processes are primarily fixed then shifted and improved over following strategy cycles Responsibilities Materials Planning: Create Monthly MRP Plan based on production needs and available inventories Ensures MRP plan is shared (Country Front End) with Bern Make planning organisation for relevant SKU’s Identify risks and opportunities and propose constrained scenarios to maximize service (liaising with MRP Planning Coordinator, Suppliers and Procurement if applies) Validate production and material plans in Weekly Plan Review Meeting Validate medium- and long-term material availability based on supplier feedback Monitor PR conversions and release of POs to suppliers Monitor Suppliers’ performance and feedback to Procurement Working Capital Management: Check materials’ availability and propose actions for excess / shortages Create inventory projections for RMPM ensuring alignment to targets. Analyse gaps and propose mitigation actions Business Waste Management: Review weekly provision snapshot to be shared with Finance Create business waste projections for RMPM to minimize no-consumption risks (zero-based plan). Responsible for driving continuous improvements process Articulate MRP planning system issues to the system SME’s in order to find effective solutions Identify process gaps through monitoring of process metrics Own training for planning population Share best practice Own development of planning tool Qualifications Engineering University Degree Experience – 3 to 5 years in associated function Experience in Material Planning or familiar Supply Planning tasks Proficiency in product category planning FMCG background preferred Abilities: Problem solving know-how Strong Analytic skills Experience in ERP (SAP) usage is a must Experience in using planning systems, BY- JDA preferred Very good collaboration skills and ability to interact with multi-cultural teams spread across geographies Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel
