Job Description

The Kraft Heinz Company is looking for Indirect Procurement Assistant Manager – Indirect (MEA)  who will have the overall responsibility for procurement activities across multiple categories in Egypt and the Middle East. The role focuses on sourcing, supplier negotiations, contract management, and compliance while driving cost savings, risk management, and value creation. Working closely with stakeholders and suppliers, the position ensures efficient delivery of projects, alignment with business needs, and adherence to company procurement policies.


Responsibilities


  • Category Management & Sourcing
    • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for multiple categories in Egypt & MEA.
    • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers in line with company standards.
    • Conduct market research and benchmarking to drive competitive advantage.
  • Procurement Execution
    • Manage end-to-end procurement process: supplier selection, RFQs, tenders, negotiations, contracting, and purchase orders.
    • Lead negotiations to secure optimal terms on cost, quality, and service.
    • Manage high-spend projects and ensure delivery within budget and timelines.
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and align procurement strategies.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for category-related procurement activities in Egypt & MEA.
  • Supplier & Contract Management
    • Ensure contracts are in place with clear terms, compliance, and risk management measures.
    • Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues proactively.
  • Compliance & Risk
    • Ensure adherence to company procurement policies, processes, and compliance requirements.
    • Assess and mitigate risks associated with suppliers, contracts, and projects.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Drive cost optimization initiatives (Savings) and process improvements.
    • Support digital procurement tools and analytics to improve efficiency.

Qualifications:


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field
  • Work Experience: 6-7 years in Procurement or Sourcing (preferably indirect categories).
  • Language Knowledge: English

Technical Skills


  • Experience in contract drafting, negotiation, and supplier management.
  • Proficiency in procurement systems (Oracle, SAP Ariba).
  • Strong Analytical skills (TCO, cost modeling, spend analysis).
  • Project management experience in leading cross-functional sourcing initiatives.
     

Soft Skills


  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement ability across multiple functions.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making mindset with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple priorities.
