Role Overview The Trainer (IT business Solutions) will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering comprehensive training programs for custom-built enterprise applications developed or implemented by the organization.
This role ensures that end users, business units, and clients effectively understand and utilize the system’s functionality, processes, and integrations.
The trainer will also lead the creation of user documentation, provide post-training support, and mentor junior trainers to maintain training quality and consistency.
Key Responsibilities • Training Design & Delivery: o Plan and deliver training programs on custom enterprise software, covering user journeys, workflows, and system functionality.
o Conduct sessions for different audiences including end users, business analysts, administrators, and technical teams.
o Deliver both in-person and virtual training sessions using various instructional techniques and digital tools.
o Customize training materials to reflect client-specific configurations and business processes.
• Curriculum & Material Development: o Develop comprehensive training content, including user manuals, quick reference guides, video tutorials, and e-learning modules.
o Collaborate closely with software development and business analysis teams to stay updated on new releases, features, and process changes.
o Translate complex technical features into clear, user-friendly training content.
• Implementation Support & Change Management: Support onboarding of new users through structured learning paths and certification checklists.
o Use digital adoption or learning-management systems to track participation and completion.
o Participate in Agile sprint reviews or release demos to prepare timely training updates.
o Participate in software rollout projects to support smooth user adoption and minimize operational disruption.
o Provide pre-launch training, go-live support, and post-implementation refresh sessions.
o Collect and analyze user feedback to enhance future training and product usability.
o Support change management initiatives by promoting user engagement and digital adoption.
• Quality Assurance & Performance Tracking: o Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, surveys, and feedback sessions and define measurable KPIs o Maintain training records and reports for internal tracking and audit purposes.
o Continuously update training materials based on system enhancements and user feedback.
Leadership & Collaboration: o Mentor and support junior trainers or training coordinators.
o Work cross-functionally with project managers, product owners, and IT support teams to align training with business needs.
o Participate in internal meetings to ensure that training strategies align with project timelines and organizational objectives.
o Provide input to product-design discussions to enhance usability from a training perspective Qualifications & Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Education, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software training, with at least 2 years focused on custom enterprise applications.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify technical information.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, e-learning authoring tools, and collaboration platforms (e.
g., MS Teams, Zoom).
• Ability to manage multiple training projects simultaneously and meet deadlines • Familiarity with change-management methodologies (e.
g., ADKAR, Prosci) or Agile environments preferred.
Expectations • Design, structure, and deliver engaging software-training programs tailored to different learning styles.
• Assess training needs through stakeholder consultation and skills-gap analysis.
• Develop customized training materials and continuously update them based on system changes.
• Measure training effectiveness using feedback, assessments, and performance metrics.
