Could you be the full-time ATC Engineer in Cairo, Egypt we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dedicated, skilled, and collaborative teammates.
You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of our mainline signaling systems by performing warranty and maintenance activities (both preventive and corrective) at Cairo Metro. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as Operations, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain), interface with clients to respond to corrective maintenance requests, record all failure incidents and report on a weekly basis, manage the repair of defective system parts through Alstom's standard repair process, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of managing the repair process of defective system parts, but also addressing emergency failures to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
We’ll look to you for:
Managing the repair process of defective ATC system parts in accordance with Alstom standards
Interfacing with clients to address and resolve corrective maintenance requests
Recording all failure incidents and compiling comprehensive weekly reports
Supporting punch list closure
Responding promptly to emergency failures to ensure minimal disruption to operations
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve system performance
Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electronics, or Railway Engineering (Mechatronics is preferred)
1–3 years of experience in a related field
Experience with ATC/signaling systems in rail or metro environments (preferred)
Knowledge of rail signaling principles, interlockings, train protection systems, and communications
Good knowledge of embedded systems and basic programming concepts
Familiarity with control systems, electrical circuits, and mechatronic systems
Proficiency in using new technologies and engineering tools
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Understanding of IP addressing, basic networking concepts, and data communications
Willingness to work rotating shifts based on operational needs
Flexibility and mobility, with availability for short- or long-term missions in different locations and countries
Valid driving license
Strong communication and teamwork skills
High attention to detail and a strong safety mindset
Resilience and an analytical mindset to solve complex system failures
Customer satisfaction and results-oriented approach
