The Accounts Payable Supervisor is responsible for overseeing merchant and vendor accounts, ensuring accurate recording of liabilities and timely payments. The role supports operational efficiency, maintains strong business relationships, and ensures alignment with financial controls within a consumer finance environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Transaction Management: Supervise and manage all merchant and vendor payable transactions.


  • Validation: Review and validate vendor invoices, merchant settlements, commissions, and finance-related expenses.


  • Verification: Ensure invoices are properly matched with contracts, approved agreements, and executed financing transactions.


  • Lifecycle Oversight: Manage the full Procure-to-Pay cycle and monitor/reconcile account balances.


  • Reporting: Prepare and review AP Aging reports, periodic reconciliations, and vendor statement reconciliations.


  • Collaboration: Coordinate with Operations, Treasury, Procurement, and Risk departments.


  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to contractual payment terms and supervise payment scheduling to optimize cash flow.


  • Month-End: Review month-end closing entries related to merchants and vendors.


  • Inquiry Resolution: Handle vendor and merchant inquiries and resolve discrepancies.


  • Analysis: Prepare periodic reports such as vendor balance reports, merchant payable reports, and payment analysis.


  • Audit & Leadership: Support internal/external audit requirements and lead, coach, and develop the AP team.


Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.


  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Accounts Payable.


  • Experience in consumer finance or financial services is preferred.


  • Previous supervisory experience is required.
