At Alstom, we understand transport networks and what moves people. From high-speed trains, metros, monorails, and trams, to turnkey systems, services, infrastructure, signalling and digital mobility, we offer our diverse customers the broadest portfolio in the industry. Every day, 80,000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.

Could you be the full-time Test and Commissioning Engineer in Copenhagen we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside innovative, dedicated, and collaborative teammates. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (System Engineering, Detailed Design Engineering, Installation, Safety, Quality, R&D, and Maintenance), write Test and Commissioning specifications, prepare for test sessions, execute and analyze test results, and much more.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Preparing ahead of a test session (install/configure SW tools on your PC, understand the train principle and electrical schematics),
  • Organizing electrical and/or system troubleshooting if necessary and writing test reports,
  • Contributing to both the engineering phase (with First of Class trains) and production phase (with serial trains),
  • Reporting and following up on the issues with various teams in the project (System Engineering, Detailed Design Engineering, Installation, Safety, Quality, R&D and Maintenance),
  • Coordinating with the customer for organisational (support of train drivers or maintainers when needed) and technical purposes,
  • Following up on the availability of the hardware tools and calibration status,
  • Promoting the EHS culture (Environment, Health, and Safety),
  • Committing to delivering Quality-focused work, on Time.

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Degree in electronics, electrics, or automatics engineering,
  • Experience or understanding of test and commissioning processes,
  • Knowledge of ERTMS technology or other signaling systems,
  • Familiarity with embedded systems and computer environments,
  • Ability to write clear and comprehensive test reports,
  • Competence in analyzing test results and troubleshooting,
  • Aptitude for coordinating with various teams and customers,
  • Excellent oral and writing skills in English,
  • Proficiency in Danish or another Scandinavian language is a plus

Things you’ll enjoy

Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues,
  • Work with cutting-edge ERTMS technology to advance the Danish train fleet,
  • Progress towards becoming a pivotal contributor in large-scale signalling projects,
  • Utilise our dynamic working environment,
  • Contribute to innovative projects,
  • Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries,
  • Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning,
  • Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension)

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
