Infrastructure Consultant
Working hours: 7.4 hours per day / 37 hours per week
Purpose
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Consultant to support the rollout of new on‑site infrastructure within the programme. The role will focus on physical deployment, virtualisation, system migration, and backup implementation, working closely with internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
  • Deploy and install physical servers and UPS units within on‑site racks
  • Coordinate with electricians and other third parties on power provision and cable routing
  • Migrate existing virtual machines within a Hyper‑V environment
  • Re‑establish, configure, and validate Veeam backup solutions in collaboration with an external partner
  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments, including Active Directory
  • Produce and update technical documentation as part of project deliverables, including IP addressing plans, asset inventories, and relevant infrastructure drawings
Required Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience working with on‑premises infrastructure and data centre environments
  • Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Hyper‑V
  • Experience with Veeam Backup & Replication
  • Comfortable working on‑site and coordinating activities across multiple stakeholders
