Manufacturing & Distribution Team is looking for an AI/Automation and APEX Specialist

As an AI/Automation and APEX Specialist in Manufacturing & Distribution, you will be part of a collaborative global team with deep ERP expertise. You will modernize our QA toolset by introducing low-code APEX applications and AI-driven automation for data validation, item and pricing definition, and test execution. You’ll combine QA rigor with practical APEX development and AI engineering to create reliable, scalable internal tools and agents.
Key Focus Areas
- Build automation tools using Oracle APEX low-code development platform and AI
- Build AI agents and automation to streamline test planning, data validation, and item/pricing setup and checks
- Apply prompt engineering, orchestration, and evaluation techniques to achieve reliable outcomes
- Integrate solutions with existing frameworks, CI/CD, and enterprise data sources while meeting security and compliance requirements
Responsibilities
- Develop, apply, and maintain quality standards aligned to internal and external compliance requirements
- Design, prototype, and operationalize APEX apps and AI-driven automation (agents, scripts, workflows) for:
- Data validation testing and reconciliation
- Item and pricing definition automation and verification
- Test plan generation, test execution, and results summarization
- Build and maintain prompts, chains/agents, and reusable components; version and evaluate them for reliability
- Integrate with enterprise systems and APIs (e.g., ERP, test management, CI/CD, issue trackers) to automate end-to-end QA workflows
- Establish and maintain documentation, runbooks, datasets, and evaluation suites for AI automation tools
- Define and implement guardrails, and automated checks to ensure safe, explainable AI outputs
- Analyze test and agent run results, identify defects, and recommend corrective actions; submit and verify bugs
- Monitor product quality signals and automation performance; contribute to continuous improvement of standards and procedures
- Perform manual testing as needed to validate automation coverage and quality
- Collaborate with product, QA, and data SMEs; operate effectively across time zones
Qualifications (Required)
- BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to the functional area
- Strong analytical mindset; detail oriented; ownership mentality
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted automation (e.g., prompt engineering, tool/agent orchestration) and scripting (e.g., SQL or Python)
- Practical experience building or maintaining Oracle APEX apps, or demonstrated potential to learn quickly
- Ability to transform unstructured, free-form text and data into structured test cases, prompts, rules, or workflows
- Familiarity with REST APIs and JSON; ability to integrate with test frameworks and CI/CD
- Fluent English and strong teamwork/communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multi–time zone environment and follow secure development and data handling practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Oracle APEX experience for building internal QA/ops tools and dashboards, including:
- Developing low-code apps and forms for item/pricing setup and validation
- Integrating APEX with REST APIs, ERP/test management systems, and CI/CD
- Using APEX SQL/PLSQL, security features, and APEX automation/workflow capabilities
- Knowledge of RAG patterns and vector search; experience with Oracle Autonomous Database/Vector Search or similar
- Exposure to OCI services (e.g., OCI Generative AI, OCI Data Science) or other enterprise AI platforms
- Experience with test automation frameworks, QA tooling, and defect tracking (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Jira)
- Practical understanding of data privacy, security, and AI governance in an enterprise context
- Familiarity with Postman, Git, CI/CD, and observability/monitoring for automation reliability
- Basic JavaScript for APEX dynamic behaviors and UI polish
