Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance Java-based applications.
* Collaborate with product managers, instructional designers, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into well-engineered solutions.
* Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from initial concept and design through to testing, deployment, and support.
* Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
* Perform code reviews to ensure code quality and distribute knowledge within the team.
* Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in our production and non-production environments.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and technology stack.
Qualifications
* Proven professional experience in Java software development.
* Strong proficiency with the Java language and core libraries.
* Experience with common Java frameworks such as Spring or similar.
* Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and software design patterns.
* Experience working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and writing efficient SQL queries.
* Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
* Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
* The ability to work independently and manage your time effectively in a remote setting.
* A genuine interest in education technology and our company's mission is highly desirable.
