We are seeking a dependable and professional Security Guard to join our team in a hospital setting. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors by monitoring access points and responding to security concerns.
Additional Site Information:
4 hours of site-specific training provided
No free on-site parking available
Site is accessible via public transportation
Monitor and control access to the facility, ensuring only authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles enter
Verify identification, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate entry/exit logs
Respond promptly to alarms, security breaches, or suspicious activity in accordance with protocols
Provide assistance and directions to staff and visitors while maintaining a professional presence
Conduct regular patrols of access points and report any incidents or concerns
Valid Manitoba Security Guard License (as required by the province)
First Aid/CPR Certification required or considered an asset
Ability to work in a healthcare environment, following hospital policies and procedures
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while conducting continuous patrols
Excellent observation and situational awareness during patrols
Ability to follow safety protocols and emergency procedures
Clear written communication skills for accurate logbook and incident reporting
Strong verbal communication skills to coordinate with supervisors and control room staff
Ability to remain calm and respond appropriately in emergency situations
High level of professionalism, reliability, and accountability
Ability to work independently while maintaining consistent monitoring and patrols
