You’re a passionate engineer and hands-on leader that is razor focussed on delivering measurable value through your own contributions, and those of your team. Lead a small group of talented engineers building and enhancing features for unsplash.com. Collaborate cross-functionally (Web, API, Design, Data ...) to gain a deep understanding of our product, users, and what needs to be prioritised to keep Unsplash thriving Develop, pitch and deliver product ideas and improvements that are aligned to business needs Promote a culture of ownership, accountability and high standards Maintain and evolve our front-end platform, ensuring it meets the availability/performance needs of our users, and is optimised for fast and frictionless development Support team members in their growth and development, empowering them to achieve their career goals and deliver exceptional work Use data to drive decisions, insights and continuous improvement

What You'll Need:


  • Ready to hit the ground running in a player-coach role
  • Comfortable leading a team, and being responsible for the growth, development and performance of team members.
  • Expert in front-end technologies incl. Node, TypeScript, React, Next.js
  • Experience building web applications at scale
  • Experience with functional programming
