Could you be the full-time Maintenance Technical Support Engineer in Sofia we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your technical and project expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside professional and dedicated teammates in Sofia, reporting to Svetoslav.

You’ll define, prepare, optimize, and continuously improve maintenance technologies. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (e.g., business development, bids, project management, engineering, industrial, quality, and support functions), offer support to our local project team, maintain the link with our central teams, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of providing engineering support for the team at the new Svetovrachene depot and applying the engineering strategy at the depot level.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Assuring the engineering resources and skills needed to support the project in the Svetovrachene depot
  • Collaborating with Services Engineering and Platforms teams to improve the Services portfolio of products and services
  • Optimizing the scope and related tasks of the maintenance plan
  • Leading cost reduction actions, in collaboration with sourcing and industrial teams
  • Detecting, defining, and implementing modifications of the maintained products to improve reliability and serviceability
  • Proposing innovative solutions and developing and implementing R&D programs and new technologies in maintenance projects
  • Analyzing the technical performance of systems and the efficiency of maintenance plans and processes, and promoting action plans to improve them
  • Promoting the use of the latest maintenance techniques and R&D developments
  • Analyzing failure criticality studies and using RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance) and other methodologies to define and optimize maintenance requirements, tasks, and intervals
  • Integrating data from Operations (Return on Experience)

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • University degree in Railway Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, Automation Engineering, or Electrical and Mechanical Engineering
  • At least 3 years of experience in the technological field, with a specialization in rolling stock
  • Good knowledge of PC use, including Word and Excel
  • English language proficiency at an intermediate level or higher
  • Problem-solving capacity, including technical and cost evaluation of solutions
  • Ability to manage technical risks
  • High interpersonal skills, self-motivation, attention to detail, and a strong team-player mindset

Things you’ll enjoy

Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from boring daily routines
  • Work with varied devices, systems, and protocols
  • Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues
  • Contribute to innovative projects
  • Utilise our professional and friendly working environment
  • Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries
  • Benefit from our investment in your development through award-winning learning
  • Progress towards higher system engineering roles
  • Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension)

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
