This role provides hands-on exposure to governance, risk, and compliance activities within a real-world enterprise security environment. The intern will assist with security assessments, policy management, risk documentation, and compliance initiatives aligned with industry frameworks and regulatory requirements.Please note this 6-month intern position offers flexible work hours once the university year starts and a hybrid work model (onsite and work from home). The Internship program will start on July 1st. In this role, you will:Support compliance efforts (ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI, HIPAA)Maintain security policies, standards, and proceduresSupport internal audits and evidence collectionTrack compliance artifacts in GRC tools or spreadsheetsSupport reporting and security metricsSupport vendor reviews and evaluationsPerform security and compliance researchAssist with risk assessments and documentation Your background:Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Informatics, or a related fieldFluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skillsGood understanding of fundamental cybersecurity concepts and toolsFamiliarity with operating systems, networking, cloud, and cybersecurity technologiesFamiliarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g. ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2, HIPAA)Strong attention to detail and analytical thinkingProactive attitude and eagerness to learnIf this sounds like you and fits your experience and career goals, we’d be happy to chat.
