Career Talk Episode 26: Job Hunting While Employed

job hunting, finding a job, unemployed, job hunting schedule, how to find a job, networking, job seeker, looking for a new job, need a new job, fired, hired, interview, job search tips

Whether you have only recently become unemployed or you’re looking for your very first job, it’s very likely that the lack of structure that comes with being unemployed (or, as we like to call it, a full-time job seeker) has already affected your momentum. Whether you’ve been sleeping in, staying in your pyjamas all day long or browsing through various social media channels whilst you should be looking for a job, it’s time to start treating the job search as a full-time job. This can be difficult, especially with no direct report to keep tabs on you, but it is during times like these that you have to be your own boss.

So, roll up your sleeves and get to work. You have a whole day ahead of you and a lot that you can be doing, right this second to help get you closer to your dream job. In this week’s episode of Bayt.com’s Career Talk, our very own Hatem Hannoun takes you through the motions of your daily job-seeking schedules and outlines a timetable that will give you both the structure and guidance you need in order to tackle your job search with ease.

Now that you’ve watched the video, be sure to let us know what you think. Would you change anything about the schedule presented? Or perhaps, is there something else you would add in order to keep yourself on your toes? What is the biggest piece of advice you can share with others who are seeking employment?

We will see you next week with a new episode, but until then happy hunting!
