Rabea Ataya is the founder and CEO of Bayt.com, the Middle East’s leading job site. He also co-founded InfoFort, a record management company for the Middle East and Africa. Ataya serves on the board of several start-ups and organizations, including the board of Queen Rania’s Foundation. He is a graduate of Stanford University with a degree in in Electronic Engineering.
In this interview, Ataya shares an incredible story of his Palestinian grandfather who rebuilt his life as a refugee in Lebanon. Watching his father juggle his work as an engineer with running his own company to provide for his large family inspired Rabea to become an entrepreneur. He also shares views on the job market in the Middle East, advice for job applicants and the challenges both employees and employers will face in the near future.
