The holiday season is the time for many professionals to energize their minds, and start the New Year with new goals. Companies are also throwing office parties to encourage employees to start fresh and bring a positive atmosphere to the workspace. The Bayt.com “Holiday Season in the Middle East and North Africa” infographic takes a look at how professionals and companies are preparing for the New Year. There is a General Feeling of Positivity About 2016 Professionals in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) have very positive feelings about 2016, with 38.7% describing their feelings as “very positive” and 33.2% as “excited”, compared to only 19% describing their feelings as “anxious” and 9.2% as “neutral”. New Year Resolutions Are Being Made The holiday season is seen by many to be the end of a chapter, and the New Year to be the start of something new, fresh, and different. This time is seen as the chance to start over and turn over a new leaf, whether in their personal or work life. A New Year’s resolution gives people the chance to commit to something new, whether it’s working harder, finding a new job, or joining the gym. A resolution is supposed to bring new experiences to the table. Of course, to truly stick to them, you really need to commit. The vast majority of respondents (80%) in the Middle East admitted to making New Year resolutions, and 80% of professionals stuck to their resolutions from last year.
