The Middle East and North Africa Salary Survey 2022

Do MENA employees expect to receive a raise in 2022? To what extent is employee loyalty directly linked to the salary received? What is the preferred pay structure for professionals? What about the various benefits MENA companies provide?

Bayt.com has recently conducted the Middle East and North Africa Salary Survey to define major factors driving the salary expectations and how they are evolving.

Key Findings

  • 7 in 10 MENA respondents believe that salaries are either increasing or staying the same in their country of residence.
  • Over half the respondents expect to receive a raise in 2022.
  • Personal medical insurance (34%) and transportation allowance (21%) are the most common benefits received.
  • Nearly 6 in 10 MENA respondents (57%) prefer a 100% fixed pay structure.
  • 40% of respondents state that their current salary package consists of basic salary and benefits.

Data for the Middle East and North Africa Salary Survey 2022 was collected online from 19 January to 2 February 2022. Results are based on a sample of 4,771 respondents from the following countries: UAE, KSA, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, Palestine, Syria, Egypt, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, and Sudan among others.
