Bayt.com Survey: Ideal Workplace in the MENA

There is a direct link between a happy, engaged workforce and a successful business. According to MENA professionals, what are the most important factors in a work environment? What makes a company attractive to job seekers? What about the preferred office layout?

The latest survey from Bayt.com titled “Ideal Workplace in the MENA” identifies the biggest factors that employees deem are crucial to an ideal workplace. It explores the playing field that companies and reporting employees engage on, to help identify the ways in which companies can attract strong talent.

Key Findings:

  • 82% of MENA professionals prefer companies with advanced technology.
  • Almost 6 in 10 respondents claim remote work option is an important aspect in their workplace.
  • When asked about factors that mostly drive loyalty, training and development opportunities (35%) emerged as the key driver of loyalty besides salary.
  • Closed rooms (28%) emerged as the most preferred office layout plan.
  • 42% of respondents claim it is easy to access information about company culture and environment when applying for a job.

Data for the Bayt.com’s Ideal Workplace in the MENA Survey was collected online from May 3 – 26, 2021. Results are based on a sample of 3,536 respondents. Countries assessed include UAE, KSA, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, Palestine, Syria, Egypt, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Sudan among others.
