Do professionals in the MENA region prefer a job that allows them to work remotely? What benefits does remote work offer? Is there room for professional growth while working from home? What about the common challenges associated with it? Do employees have all the tools and the resources needed to carry out their job remotely?

We polled thousands of professionals across the MENA region to illustrate their opinions on remote work and their expectations for the next few years. Here's what they had to say about this hot topic.

Key Findings:

• 9 in 10 professionals expect remote work to increase over the next few years.
• 74% of professionals prefer jobs that allow them to work remotely.
• 87% say that they have all the resources and tools they need to carry out their job remotely.
• 89% believe that MENA companies will start favoring employees who can carry out their jobs independently and remotely.
• 79% agree that virtual communication is a good enough substitute for physical communication between their colleagues and managers.

Data for the Remote Work in the MENA poll 2020 was collected online from May 3, 2020 to June 9, 2020. Results are based on a sample of 2748 respondents from the following countries: UAE, KSA, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, Palestine, Syria, Egypt, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Sudan and others.
