Key findings:

Overall for Private Sectors, the hiring trend in the next 3 months looks presumably high with top industries being Hospitality/ recreation/ entertainment, Human resources, and Advertising/Marketing/ Public Relations.
Hospitality/ Recreation/ Entertainment, Human Resources, and Banking/ Finance emerge as the top industries claiming to hire the most in the coming year.
Business Management (22%), Commerce (22%) and Engineering (21%) are the most sought-after academic qualifications amongst employers in the MENA region.
Good communication skills in Arabic and English (53%) emerge as the top skill that employers look for in a candidate. Being a team player (40%), having a great overall personality and demeanor (37%) and the ability to work under pressure (37%) follow behind.
A little over half the respondents claim that their company has hired new employees in the last 6 months, with 38% having hired new employees in the last 3 month

Data for the Middle East Job Index Survey for August 2019 was collected online from July 11^th 2019 and August 17^th 2019. Results are based on a sample of 1,886 respondents from the following countries: UAE, KSA, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, Palestine, Syria, Egypt, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Sudan, and others.
