Over8,500 respondents from across the Middle East region participated in the online cost-of-living survey, which was conducted by market research leader YouGovSiraj in association with Bayt.com, throughout September. The Middle East cost-of-living survey which surveyed professionals of all career and salary levels and all jobs in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, UAE, KSA, Kuwait, Bahrain, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Morrocco and other countries in the Middle East and North Africa, also examined the financial implications of utilities, car financing and company benefits across the Middle East and North Africa on personal living standards, real incomes and financial situations. Across the Middle East and Nort Africa region the HR research findings consistently show that housing expenses continue to make the largest dent in regional salaries especially in places like Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the UAE where salaries have been shown to rise but where rents have in many cases risen commensurately and in come cases risen at an even more rapid pace than salary increases. This Middle East and North Africa HR survey is essential reading for all professionals, Jobseekers and Employers across the Middle East and North Africa looking to analyze and predict the implications of cost of living increases on standards of living in all countries of the GCC, Levant and North Africa.
