The Bayt.com Hiring Practices in the Middle East and North Africa Survey

Survey highlights:

  • Employee referrals (38%) is the most popular method when recruiting a candidate for a managerial position.
  • Close to40% believe that online recruitment has facilitated the hiring process to a ‘great’ extent.
  • 8 out of10 companies in the region use social media for posting jobs;37% for finding candidates; and35% for checking referrals.
  • 42% of respondents used general online job sites when searching for a job.
  • Data for the Bayt.com ‘Hiring Practices in the Middle East and North Africa’ survey was collected online from May5th to May22nd2015, with1,178 respondents interviewed from countries across the MENA region, including UAE, KSA, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Algeria, Egypt, Morocco and Tunisia.
