Bayt.com surveyed thousands of professionals across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) to reveal an understanding of employees’ satisfaction with current salaries, benefits, raises, and overall compensation. How does seniority affect salary scale? Are there any additional benefits that more seasoned employees receive? Are employees satisfied with their2017 raises? And is pay equity issue among men and women being resolved in today’s workplace? What about living expenses and managing finances in2018? Read more below.

  • 52% of respondents stated that they will look for a better job in the same industry.
  • 36% claim that loyalty to their company is not linked to salaries.
  • 46% revealed that personal medical insurance is the top benefit they receive from their employers.
  • A fifth of respondents received a1-5% salary raise during2017.

  • Data for the2018 Bayt.com ‘Middle East and North Africa Salary Survey’ poll was collected online from April24,2018 to May13,2018. Results are based on a sample of4,194 respondents. Countries that participated are the UAE, Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, and others.
