Insurance Product Manager is a great role, in which you will support and manage various projects and product improvements to support and develop the insurance related activities for our Consumer & Commercial products in the Benelux. Because of it’s end to end customer journey responsibility the role offers great opportunities to connect colleagues and brings much diversity in your day to day activities. Your primary goals are to build distinctive, appealing products benefits and ensure compliance with insurance related activities.


You will report into the Head of Insurances activities under our Spanish Insurance branch activities, Amex Asesores de Seguros. While your primary focus is on managing insurance related activities, you are also reporting (dotted line) to the Benelux Product manager and part of a wider Product management team. Your working location will be in Brussels where the rest of the ICS (product) team is located. Together with the team you will provide support in managing various projects and product improvements to develop and grow the product and portfolio strategy for our Consumer & Business Card (ICS) portfolio in the Benelux.


This role requires a hands-on, excellent communication skills and strong understanding of regulations and strong capacity into translating these into good business practices.


  • Act as an Insurance subject matter expert and be the point of contact between Amex legal entities, insurance companies and internal insurance services
  • Manage insurance governance and compliance proactively ; by performing quality assessments, marketing assets compliance reviews, oversight of training results, updates on management information and presentation to board of directors,..
  • Manage insurance related escalated complaints and monitor performance of insurer.
  • Develop Value Proposition of products and benefits that deliver strong customer value to enable realization of a high base growth ambition.
  • Management of benefits (partners lifecycle management, customer journeys) & budget (forecasting, monitoring, invoicing, …).
  • Manage all product and card member touch points. Proactively recommend any customer journey improvement by delivering a seamless end-to-end customer experience to our card members.

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications: 
 


  • Bachelor degree
  • Min. 3 years relevant work experience
  • Experience in the field of insurances is a plus.
  • Ability to build effective relationships and provide consultancy and advice to senior business stakeholders
  • Business acumen and ability influence in a matrix organization
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Structured and precise, eye for detail
  • Understanding risks and compliance regulations; able to understand governance responsibilities
  • Analytical skills
