The Platform & DevOps Specialist is a technical role responsible for architecting, building, and maintaining BEDE's cloud infrastructure and in-house development deployment pipelines. This position leads in implementing the technical strategy for platform reliability, security, and scalability while ensuring seamless integration between BEDE's cloud-based systems and on-premise services.

This role drives DevSecOps culture adoption, collaborates with development teams to enable rapid & reliable delivery of fintech applications. Additionally, this position plays a key role in driving the company’s cloud adoption strategy and implementation, as well as building and establishing CI/CD capabilities using the latest technologies including the use of Agentic Software Development.

  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

  
  

• Experience

  
  

  3-5 years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering  including experience in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and Kubernetes in production, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred), hybrid cloud/on-premise environments.

  
  

  Experience in fintech, financial services, or regulated industries strongly preferred

  
  

• Technical Skills

  
  

  •Cloud Platforms: Deep expertise in AWS, Azure, or GCP including networking, compute, storage, and security services

  
  

  •Containers & Orchestration: Advanced Kubernetes administration, Helm, service mesh (Istio/Linkerd)

  
  

  •CI/CD: Expert-level proficiency with Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, or similar tools

  
  

  •Infrastructure as Code: Advanced Terraform skills; experience with Ansible and CloudFormation

  
  

  •Monitoring & Observability: Implementation experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack

  
  

  •Security: DevSecOps practices, vulnerability scanning tools (Snyk, SonarQube, Dependency Track), Secret Management

  
  

  •Scripting & Programming: Strong Python and Bash skills; As well experienced with and willing to expand on Go, Java and Mobile App development languages (Kotlin, Swift, Flutter)

  
  

  •Networking: TCP/IP, load balancing, DNS, VPN/hybrid connectivity design

  
  

Architecture & Technical Leadership

• Design and implement scalable, secure cloud infrastructure supporting BEDE's fintech applications

  
  

• Define platform standards, best practices, and architectural patterns for the engineering organization

  
  

• Lead technical decision-making for infrastructure investments and technology selection

  
  

• Create reusable IaC modules, Helm charts, and infrastructure templates

  
  

• Design disaster recovery and business continuity solutions meeting BEDE’s business requirements

  
  

Infrastructure & Platform Management

• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for performance, cost, and reliability

  
  

• Implement and maintain Kubernetes clusters for containerized application workloads

  
  

• Design and operate hybrid connectivity between BEDE's cloud environment and on-premise systems

  
  

• Ensure platform achieves ≥99.99% availability for critical financial services

  
  

CI/CD & Automation

• Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or ArgoCD

  
  

• Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual operations and deployment time

  
  

• Implement GitOps practices for infrastructure and application deployments

  
  

• Participate in in-house development activities and leverage Agentic Software Development integrated CI/CD pipelines

  
  

• Integrate security scanning (SAST, DAST, SCA) into delivery pipelines

  
  

Security & Compliance (DevSecOps)

• Embed security controls throughout the software delivery lifecycle

  
  

• Implement secret management, encryption, and access control best practices

  
  

• Ensure infrastructure compliance with PCI-DSS, SOC 2, and regulatory requirements

  
  

• Design and implement audit logging and monitoring for compliance

  
  

Monitoring & Reliability

• Implement comprehensive observability using observability tools like Grafana and Dynatrace

  
  

• Design alerting strategies and runbooks for operational incidents

  
  

• Lead incident response for critical platform issues and conduct post-mortem analysis

  
  

• Drive reliability improvements through SRE practices

  
  

Collaboration & Mentorship

• Collaborate with Zain technical teams on integration, security standards, and shared services

  
  

• Mentor Platform & DevOps Specialists and other junior engineers

  
  

• Lead technology communities and establish engineering standards

  
  

• Conduct architecture reviews and provide technical guidance across teams
