Job description

  • Lead the design and engineering of complete surface wellhead systems, including casing heads, spools, hangers, and valves.
  • Provide technical guidance to the engineering team on best practices, design methodologies, and standards compliance.
  • Perform advanced engineering analyses, including stress, fatigue, sealing, and thermal effects.
  • Participate in product testing and qualification processes, such as API 6A PR2, PSL3G/PSL4, fire testing, and sour service validation.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to resolve technical queries, support tenders, and offer customized solutions.
  • Support internal audits and external inspections conducted by clients or third-party agencies.
  • Promote standardization, design for manufacturability, and cost optimization across engineering processes.
  • Review and approve engineering documents; mentor and support the development of junior engineers


Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 8 to 15+ years of experience in the design of wellhead equipment, with a strong background in API 6A standards.
  • In-depth knowledge of surface wellhead systems and production equipment.
  • Proficiency in CAD and FEA tools, along with familiarity with relevant industry codes and standards.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and documentation skills.
