Accountant

A Junior Accountant supports the finance department by handling daily bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and journal entries. They assist senior accountants with month-end closing, budget preparation, and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. Key skills include proficiency in accounting software, strong Excel skills, and high attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Bookkeeping & Data Entry: Maintain accurate financial records, including recording daily transactions, managing general ledgers, and posting journal entries.
• Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process vendor invoices, ensure timely payments, and manage accounts receivable to ensure timely collection.
• Reconciliation: Perform daily or monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and cash accounts.
• Financial Reporting: Assist in compiling data for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, such as balance sheets and income statements.
• Compliance & Tax: Assist with tax audits, tax returns, and ensure adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) or other regulatory guidelines.
• Payroll Support: Assist in gathering payroll data and processing expenses.
