Roster: Monday–Friday (5/2)
Work Setup: Office-based with 2 days WFH + ad hoc site travel

Overview
We are partnering with a major resources operator to source a Senior Control Systems Engineer to support a growing pipeline of sustaining capital projects. This is a technically driven role focused on process control systems engineering, working across fixed plant, water, power, and new project scopes.
You’ll join a high-performing controls team delivering SCADA and PLC solutions, with a strong emphasis on Ignition SCADA and Siemens PLCs across project initiatives.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, program and deploy Ignition SCADA systems (Perspective, scripting, reporting, database integration)
  • Develop and deliver PLC/SCADA control solutions across plant, power, water, and development projects
  • Support brownfield and greenfield projects with automation and control system design
  • Conduct design reviews, validation, and technical troubleshooting
  • Develop functional descriptions, scope documents, and technical specifications
  • Select and integrate appropriate hardware, software, and network components
  • Support commissioning and deployment across operational and project sites
  • Provide technical guidance on process control systems engineering activities
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary engineering team
 
About You
  • Degree in Electrical, Control Systems, Mechatronics, or related discipline
  • 5+ years’ experience in process control systems engineering
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • Ignition SCADA
    • Siemens PLCs
  • Exposure to other SCADA/PLC platforms (e.g. WinCC, Cimplicity, Emerson/GE) advantageous
  • Experience with industrial communications (MQTT, Profinet, Modbus, Ethernet)
  • Proficiency in PLC programming languages (Structured Text, Ladder, Function Block) and scripting (Python, C#, VB)
  • Strong background in HMI/SCADA design and development
  • Ability to work across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
