NES Fircroft are supporting a Tier 1 miner and looking for a strong Principal Electrical Project Engineer to join the WA Major Projects team, supporting delivery of a major project.
This is a site based execution role, reporting to the Area Engineering Manager, supporting construction, completions and commissioning through to handover.
Benefits:

Location: Site Based, Newman
Contract: 6 months
Rate: $125–$140/hr + super
Hours: 12hrs per day.
Roster: 5:2, 4:3 – Open to discussion for the right candidate.
Other Benefits: Fortnightly pay, EAP contractor support, dedicated NES Fircroft consultant
About you:
  • Degree qualified Electrical Engineer at Principal level
  • Strong control systems understanding
  • Proven experience supporting construction verification, completions and commissioning on major projects
  • Ability to coordinate with EPCs, ESPs, construction and commissioning teams
  • Strong experience in execution phase delivery on major projects
  • Ability to identify design issues and rectify
Role responsibility:
  • Provide on site engineering support to construction, commissioning and operational readiness teams across execution, completions and close out phases, with a strong focus on control system integration and risk management
  • Conduct construction verification through field inspections and walkdowns to confirm alignment with approved designs, Basis of Design and standards
  • Review and interpret engineering documentation, resolving technical queries, NCRs and site initiated changes
  • Act as the primary engineering interface between client and contractor (no direct reports)
  • Support commissioning teams with pre commissioning, testing, commissioning readiness and safe energisation/start up activities
