POSITION SUMMARY:
We are looking for a Metrology Engineer to join our team on a12-month contract. TheMetrology Engineeris responsible forthe calibration, qualification, and thermal mapping of client equipment in regulatedLifeScienceandAdjacent industry. The role supports the full CQV lifecycle and ensures that measurement systems, qualification protocols, and thermal mapping activities areaccurate, statistically sound, and compliant with applicable industry standards and regulations.TheMetrology Engineerdevelops, executes, and reviews qualification and calibration methods, performs verification and maintenance of metrology and thermal mapping instrumentation, and applies principles of statistics, mathematics, physics, and laboratory science toanalysemeasurement systems and improve procedures.The incumbent is responsible and accountable for supporting and executing the PSC mission:“To maintain the integrity and professionalism of our products and services while enabling steady growth and development.”DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCQV & Thermal MappingPerform qualification and thermal mapping of client equipment including autoclaves, ovens, cold rooms, freezers, warehouses, and other controlled environments.Develop, author, execute, and review CQV lifecycle documentation, including:Design Qualification (DQ)Risk AssessmentsFactory Acceptance Testing (FAT)Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)Installation Qualification (IQ)Operational Qualification (OQ)Performance Qualification (PQ)Process Validation (PV)Thermal mapping protocols and final reportsin compliance with cGMP, GDP, and 21 CFR requirements.Ensure all protocols are technicallyaccurate, statistically valid, and executed to regulatory standards.Metrology & CalibrationPerform calibration, verification, and maintenance of metrology and thermal mapping instrumentation.Develop, evaluate, andmaintaincalibrated measurement systems.Identifysources of measurement error and assess their impact on measurement reliability.Apply statistical and scientific methods to analyse measurement performance and recommend corrective actions.Assistengineering, quality, and laboratory personnel in the correct use of measurement standards, instruments, and test systems.Operations & Project SupportCollaborate with the Metrology Manager to ensureaccuratescheduling and execution of work across the regional area.Lead or support on-siteEngineeringand metrology projects as part of the PSC Biotech team.Effectively prioritize and execute multiple tasks independently in a fast-paced environment.Complete all required training on metrology equipment, SOPs, and documentationin a timely manner.Assistwith the development, review, and maintenance of SOPs and departmental documentation.Support the development of PSC Biotech’s presence in the regional area by building relationships with existing and prospective clients.Performadditionalduties as assigned.DEMONSTRATED COMPETENCIESAnalytical Skills –Identifies, researches, and applies logical reasoning to analyze data, resolve issues, and communicate critical technical information.Negotiation Skills –Active listening, needs assessment, and presents visions to build a consensus.
