Job Description
The Ingenieur Infomatique is responsible for administering and maintaining the server, storage, backup, and core Microsoft infrastructure at the client site in accordance with client standards, processes, and procedures. This role requires strong technical expertise, analytical ability, and excellent communication skills in English; French is an advantage. The position focuses on reliable operations, monitoring, patching, backup and recovery, incident support, and continuous improvement of core infrastructure services.

Major Duties
  • Administer and optimize Active Directory across all sites, including user account lifecycle management, group policy and group management, and privileged access administration.
  • Administer the on-premises Microsoft Exchange and hybrid Microsoft 365 environment in alignment with corporate standards.
  • Develop and maintain automation for administration and operational tasks using PowerShell and approved tools (e.g., ManageEngine).
  • Install, configure, and support server-based applications and services (e.g., file, print, database, and licensing) in accordance with corporate standards.
  • Maintain and administer backup, restore, and recovery processes for servers, applications, and data, including disk-based backups, replication, tape operations, and support for Dell backup tools and tape library systems.
  • Monitor servers and applications using SolarWinds and other approved tools, including alert tuning, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
  • Provide technical expertise and Level 2/Level 3 escalation support for infrastructure incidents and operational issues, including root-cause analysis.
  • Execute server security, maintenance, and patching activities and coordinate with the cybersecurity team on hardening and remediation as required.
  • Administer and support virtualization and storage platforms (e.g., VMware and enterprise SAN/NAS), including capacity planning and lifecycle management.
  • Support disaster recovery and business continuity readiness by maintaining runbooks, participating in DR tests, and ensuring recovery objectives are met for critical services.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation (configurations, procedures, and diagrams) and follow change management processes for infrastructure updates.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for operational improvement, automation, standardization, and cost-effective service delivery.

Required Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience administering enterprise server, storage, backup, and Microsoft infrastructure environments.

Desired Experience and Skills:
  • Strong experience with Windows Server; working knowledge of Linux administration.
  • Relevant vendor training or certifications (e.g., Microsoft, VMware, Dell, HPE).
  • Familiarity with server security, hardening baselines, and vulnerability remediation practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; French and/or Arabic language skills in addition is helpful.

Preferred Certifications:
  • Microsoft, VMware, Dell, or similar infrastructure certifications.
  • ITIL Foundation (or equivalent service management certification).
