The Lead Structural Engineer is responsible for structural and foundation design, technical analysis, and /or resolution of engineering problems, and also supervises the documentation of the structural drawings in coordination with the architectural and MEP works.
Lead the structural design process, overseeing the development of design concepts, calculations, and detailed drawings for various building projects.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to structural engineering teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards.
Collaborate closely with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate structural requirements seamlessly into overall project designs.
Conduct structural analysis using advanced software tools to evaluate the performance and stability of building structures under various loading conditions.
Review and approve structural drawings, specifications, and construction documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Manage and coordinate structural engineering tasks, schedules, and budgets to meet project deadlines and client expectations.
Perform site visits and inspections to assess construction progress, resolve technical issues, and ensure compliance with design specifications.
Evaluate and recommend innovative structural solutions to optimize project performance, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability.
Act as a technical liaison between the structural engineering team and other project disciplines, facilitating effective communication and coordination.
Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in structural engineering to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies
Knowledge of STAAD Software
Extensive structural knowledge for Buildings, Heavy Civils and Infrastructure works
Knowledge in preparing reports, designs and drawings
Good level of previous facade engineering design experience including analysis of structures and detailed
design of elements in all major materials.
Knowledge of Project Management
Practical knowledge and ability in Structural Engineering design and construction.
Working knowledge of Auto Cad or other drafting software
Extensive experience of structural engineering building design on multi-disciplinary building envelope projects
ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
Minimum 8 years working experience, 5 years in a relevant supervisory position, 2 years GCC experience is a plus
