Your role and responsibilities

As a Partner Technical Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting and enabling IBM's partner ecosystem to address real client needs through IBM Software solutions. You will work closely with partners to translate business requirements into technical solutions, helping them design, position, and deliver impactful use cases across AI, Data, Integration, and Automation.
You will act as a trusted technical advisor to partners, strengthening their capabilities while accelerating joint client engagements and business outcomes.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
*Influence Partner Strategy:
Guide partners in shaping their technical strategy around IBM Software by identifying high-value use cases and embedding IBM technologies (AI, Data, Integration, Automation) into their solutions, offerings, and reference architectures.
* Drive Solution Design & Co-Creation:
Work hands-on with partners to structure client requirements, design end-to-end solutions, and support the definition of scalable architectures aligned with IBM Software portfolio and best practices.
* Coordinate Technical Expertise:
Mobilize IBM technical resources (pre-sales, labs, experts) to support partners in building, demonstrating, and delivering client-centric solutions that address real business challenges.
* Grow Ecosystem Capability:
Strengthen partners' technical depth by enabling them to effectively position, demonstrate, and deploy IBM Software solutions at scale, with a strong focus on practical use cases and business impact.
* Enable Partner Sellers:
Support partner technical and sales teams in developing their skills to articulate value, run technical discussions, and progress opportunities-from early engagement to solution validation.

* Technical Solution Design: Experience working with technical solution design to identify, design, and implement valued client-centric solutions.



* Ecosystem Development: Exposure to growing the capability and capacity of an ecosystem through technical enablement and partner engagement.



* Technical Architecture: Experience working with technical architectures to incorporate and embed technology into partners' reference architectures, practices, and solutions.



* Client-Centric Solutions: Exposure to designing and implementing client-centric solutions that meet partner needs and drive business growth.





Preferred technical and professional experience

* Technical SW portfolio Architecture Knowledge: Exposure to working with technical architectures to incorporate and embed technology into partners' reference architectures, practices, and solutions is beneficial. This includes understanding how to design and implement valued client-centric solutions that meet partner needs and drive business growth.



* Ecosystem Development Experience: Experience working with ecosystem development through technical enablement and partner engagement is advantageous. This involves growing the capability and capacity of the overall ecosystem by increasing partners' technical capabilities.
